Managed governance for AI

AI is advancing faster than most organisations can understand or govern. They now face new legal duties, heightened risks, higher stakeholder expectations, and no clear standards.

AI Governance as a Service (AIGaaS) enables you to get ahead of regulation, build accountability, and prove how AI is controlled across your organisation.

ISO42001 alignment

Enables you to demonstrate a robust, compliant AI strategy, underpinned by the most widely recognised standard.

Risk reduction

Ensures AI implementations are ethical and secure, reducing the chance of reputational harm and costly operational disruptions.

Competitive advantage

Demonstrates rigorous AI governance inline with ISO 42001, providing a powerful proof point in competitive tender processes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Very little on an ongoing basis. The monthly governance operation is managed by us — we produce assurance reports, maintain the risk register and flag anything requiring your attention. You need a nominated internal contact for decisions and escalations, and time for quarterly reviews. The initial AIMS setup requires more engagement — typically four to six weeks working with relevant stakeholders — but that is a one-time investment.

Deliberately, yes — and it is a feature rather than a problem. AI governance shares significant common ground with data protection: automated decision-making, data minimisation, DPIA obligations and data subject rights all sit across both disciplines. AIGaaS is designed to complement your existing framework, not duplicate it. If you also use our vDPO service, we can integrate both for a unified governance structure with no overlap.

Yes — certification support is available as a bolt-on. The AIMS we design as part of AIGaaS is built to ISO 42001 from the outset, so moving toward formal certification is a natural extension rather than a rebuild. Many organisations run the managed service for six to twelve months first, allowing the system to mature before it faces external scrutiny.

The EU AI Act introduces tiered obligations based on the risk level of your AI applications. High-risk systems — including AI used in employment decisions, credit scoring and healthcare — face the most stringent requirements. AIGaaS is built with EU AI Act alignment from the outset, so your governance framework is positioned for compliance as obligations come into full effect, rather than requiring a retrofit. EU AI Act advisory is also available as a dedicated bolt-on for organisations that need a detailed assessment of their specific obligations.

Quite possibly. Using third-party AI tools does not eliminate your governance obligations — it changes their shape. Under UK GDPR, you remain accountable for automated processing that affects individuals, regardless of whether you built the tool yourself. Under the EU AI Act, deployers of high-risk AI systems carry specific obligations even when using vendor- supplied products. The question is not whether you built the AI, but what you are doing with it and what accountability that creates.

Each month we review your AI risk register, assess any new AI deployments or changes to existing ones, update relevant policies and controls where needed, and produce a brief assurance report for internal stakeholders. Quarterly, we produce a more detailed report suitable for board or senior leadership review. The frequency and depth scales with the complexity of your AI activity.
