Prepare now. Recover with control.

Ransomware, data exfiltration and system outages can stop operations within mere hours. However, what separates a managed recovery from a crisis is having a structured, tested plan and the governance to execute it under pressure.

We design cyber attack recovery plans that are realistic, board-understood and aligned to the regulatory obligations your organisation will face in the aftermath of a serious incident.

Competitive advantage

Certification gives you a credible, verifiable proof point in tenders and supplier assurance questionnaires.

Compliance under pressure

Regulatory notification timelines built into recovery frameworks to ensure ongoing adherence to standards.

Protect critical data

Regular backups and data redundancy strategies, ensure that even if data is compromised or encrypted, it can be restored.

Reputation protection

A controlled, well-documented response protects you with regulators, insurers and clients, long after the incident is resolved.

Minimise losses

Swift recovery minimises downtime, limiting the time, cost and disruption to your organisation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Business continuity planning focuses on keeping critical operations running during a disruption. Cyber attack recovery planning is specifically designed for the aftermath of a security incident — where the challenge is not just operational continuity but also data integrity, regulatory notification, forensic preservation, communications management and restoring systems safely without re-introducing the attacker. The two are complementary, and we design recovery plans to integrate with your existing business continuity framework rather than sit alongside it separately.
Yes, and we strongly recommend it. A recovery plan that has never been exercised is an assumption, not a plan. We support tabletop exercises that walk your leadership and technical teams through a realistic scenario — identifying gaps in decision-making, communications and escalation before an actual incident does. We can facilitate these as a one-off or on an annual basis.
An incident response plan tells you how to detect, contain and investigate an incident. A recovery plan picks up where that leaves off; how do you safely restore operations, validate data integrity, manage regulatory obligations and communicate with stakeholders once the immediate threat is contained? Most organisations have reasonable incident response procedures but limited structured thinking about the recovery phase. That is where the greatest operational and regulatory risk typically sits.
At minimum annually, and following any significant change e.g. a major system migration, acquisition, change in regulatory exposure or after any actual incident. Recovery plans go stale quickly. We build in a review cadence as part of the engagement and can support ongoing maintenance as part of a retainer if that is more practical for your organisation.
Ransomware recovery strategy covers the specific decisions and technical steps required when systems are encrypted or data is exfiltrated. This includes backup architecture and restoration sequencing, criteria for deciding whether to pay a ransom (and the legal and regulatory considerations involved), clean rebuild procedures, validation controls to confirm data integrity before systems go live again, and the notification obligations that apply under UK GDPR, NIS regulations or sector-specific rules. We design the strategy around your actual infrastructure and risk profile.
